8. 1 tbsp olive oil

Steps of Vegan Baked Tofu Recipe

# Steps
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Drain the tofu and press out as much liquid as possible. You can do this by wrapping the tofu block in a clean dish towel or paper towels and placing something heavy on top for 10-15 minutes.
3. Cut the tofu into small cubes or slices.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce or tamari, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Mix well.
5. Add the tofu to the bowl and toss until it's well-coated with the marinade.
6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the tofu in a single layer.
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tofu is golden and crispy on the outside.
8. Serve hot as a main dish or use it as a protein-packed topping for salads, bowls, or sandwiches.
Tips:
  • For extra crispy tofu, press the tofu for a longer period of time before cutting it into cubes.
  • Feel free to adjust the seasoning according to your preference. You can add more or less salt, pepper, or spices depending on your taste.
  • Serve the baked tofu on its own, as a side dish, or as a protein source for salads, sandwiches, or grain bowls.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
