Steps of Apple Cider Donuts Recipe

# Steps
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
3. In another bowl, mix together the apple cider, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
5. Fill a piping bag or a plastic bag with the batter and snip the end to make a small hole.
6. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a donut comes out clean.
8. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then remove them and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
9. For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
10. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
11. Heat the vegetable oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat until it reaches 375°F.
12. Using a slotted spoon, carefully place a few donuts at a time into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
13. Remove the donuts from the oil with the slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
14. While the donuts are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated on all sides.
15. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Don't overmix the batter or your donuts may turn out tough. If you don't have a piping bag, you can use a plastic bag with a small corner snipped off to pipe the batter into the pan. Make sure your oil is at the correct temperature before frying the donuts. If it's too cool, the donuts will absorb too much oil and become greasy. If it's too hot, the outside will burn before the inside is cooked. These donuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
