Steps of Maple Glazed Donuts Recipe

# Steps
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a donut pan with cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix the batter.
5. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the donuts are lightly golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Remove the donuts from the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then, transfer the donuts to a wire rack to cool completely.
8. While the donuts are cooling, prepare the maple glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons of milk. If the glaze is too thick, add another tablespoon of milk until it reaches the desired consistency.
9. Dip each cooled donut into the maple glaze, making sure to coat the entire surface. Place the glazed donuts back on the wire rack to let the glaze set.
10. Serve the donuts immediately, or store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
If you don't have a donut pan, you can make these donuts in a muffin tin instead. Just be sure to adjust the baking time accordingly. For extra flavor, you can add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon or nutmeg to the batter. If you want to make these donuts ahead of time, you can freeze them after they have cooled. Simply wrap each donut in plastic wrap and store them in a freezer-safe container for up to 1 month. To thaw, leave them at room temperature for a few hours or microwave them for 15-20 seconds. To make the glaze even more maple-y, you can use maple extract instead of vanilla extract. Enjoy your delicious homemade maple glazed donuts!
