How to make Instant Sev Khamani (Jain) ?

Quick and instant jain Sev Khamani Recipe. No need to bother about soaking Chanal Daal in advance. Prepare instantly with Besan flour.

Ingredients for Instant Sev Khamani (Jain) Recipe

# Ingredients
1. 2 cups Besan flour
2. 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
3. 3 Tbsp Sugar
4. Ginger-Chilli paste
5. Salt
6. (1 tsp) Baking Soda
7. Oil
8. Mustard Seeds, Asafoetida, Turmeric powder
9. Sev
10. Coriander (for Garnishing)
11. Water

Steps of Instant Sev Khamani (Jain) Recipe

# Steps
1. Add Besan, lemon juice, sugar, ginger-chilli paster, salt in a vessel and mix all dry ingredients
2. Add water slowly (to avoid lumps) and mix well to prepare mix
3. Add baking soda and mix well
4. Let the mixture rest for 5-10 mins
5. Grease the pan (baking tray) with Oil and put it into steamer for 15-20 mins
6. Meanwhile prepare mixture of Sugar (2 Tbsp) + Lemon juice (2 Tbsp) + Water and keep it aside
7. After 15-20 mins of steaming, inster the knife into Khamani pan and check, if knife comes out clean, it means it is done.
8. Let the steamed Khamani rest for few minutes.
9. Crush the Khamani into very small pieces.
10. Heat the Oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida. Add crushed Khamani.
11. Mix well quickly. Add the lemon + sugar mix prepared earlier and mix well.
12. Cook for few mins until Khamani separates into small pieces.
13. Serve Khamani with lots of Sev. Garnish it with coriander, Pomegranate seeds.
