Steps |

To make Dhokli, In a bowl add wheat flour, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, carom seeds, oil and mix. Knead stiff dough using sufficient water. Cover the dough and keep aside. |

Divide the dough in five equal portions. And roll out each portion in to a thin circle. Cut each chapatti in to a 1 – 1/2 inches square and keep aside. |

Wash the dal and pressure cook it with 3 cup water up to 3 whistles or till completely cooked. |

Add 2 cup water and tomato and blend using hand blender to smooth liquid. |

Transfer into a deep pan and place it on flame. Add turmeric powder, green chili, ginger, dhana- jeera powder, red chili powder, salt, jaggery, peanut and mix well. Cook on medium flame for 5 minutes. |

For Seasoning, heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seed. When seeds crackle add asafoetida, curry leaves, whole dried red chili and add it to dal. |

Add dhokli in to the dal. And cook on low flame for 15 min while stirring occasionally. |

Add lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well. Switch off the flame and serve immediately. |
