Ingredients for Chana Dal Recipe

# Ingredients
1. 1 cup Chana dal (Split chickpeas), Soaked 1-2 hour
2. 3 tbsp oil
3. 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
4. 2 medium onion, Chopped
5. 1 tbsp ginger- garlic paste
6. 2 green chilli
7. 1 medium tomato, Chopped
8. 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
9. 1/4 tbsp red chili powder
10. 3/4 tbsp coriander- cumin powder
11. Salt to taste
12. 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

Steps of Chana Dal Recipe

# Steps
1. Drain the chana dal and place them in a pressure cooker with two cup water and pinch of salt.
2. Pressure cooks it for six to eight whistles until they are completely cooked and soft.
3. Heat the oil in a pan, add cumin seeds. When seeds crackle add onion and ginger- garlic paste and cook till onion translucent.
4. Add turmeric powder, coriander-jeera powder, red chili powder, salt and mix well.
5. Add tomato and green chili and mix it and Sauté it for four minutes.
6. Add boiled chana dal with the liquour and mix well. And cook for five to six minutes.
7. Transfer the chana dal in to a serving bowl, Garnish with coriander.
