Steps |

Drain the chana dal and place them in a pressure cooker with two cup water and pinch of salt. |

Pressure cooks it for six to eight whistles until they are completely cooked and soft. |

Heat the oil in a pan, add cumin seeds. When seeds crackle add onion and ginger- garlic paste and cook till onion translucent. |

Add turmeric powder, coriander-jeera powder, red chili powder, salt and mix well. |

Add tomato and green chili and mix it and Sauté it for four minutes. |

Add boiled chana dal with the liquour and mix well. And cook for five to six minutes. |

Transfer the chana dal in to a serving bowl, Garnish with coriander. |
