1. | 1½ cup basmati rice, soaked |
2. | 1 cup shelled green peas |
3. | 1 medium onion, chopped |
4. | ¾ tbsp cumin seeds |
5. | ¼ tbsp asafoetida |
6. | 1 bay leaf |
7. | 3 tbsp oil |
8. | ¼ tbsp lemon juice |
9. | Green Coriander leaves, chopped |
10. | 8- 10 roasted cashewnut |
11. | Salt to taste |
Steps of Peas Pulao Recipe

1. | Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and bay leaf. When seeds crackle add onion. Sauté for 5 min. |
2. | Add green peas and sauté for 3 minute. |
3. | Add soaked rice, 2 cup water and lemon juice and mix well. Bring to a boil for 3 minute on high flame. |
4. | Close the lid of pan and cook on slow flame or till water is absorbed. |
5. | Garnish with coriander leaves and roasted cashewnut. |
6. | Serve hot. |
