1 cup gram flour (Besan)

1 cup Yogurt (Dahi)

2 cup water

1 tbsp ginger paste
5.
1 tbsp green chili paste
6.
1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
7.
1 tbsp mustard seeds
8.
1 tbsp sesame seeds
9.
1/4 tbsp asafoetida
10.
3 tbsp oil
11.
Salt as per taste

2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

3 tbsp fresh coconut, grated

Steps
1.
Mix yogurt and water and make butter milk. Grease few thali (Plate) on reverse side with oil and place it on side.
2.
In bowl mix gram flour, butter milk, turmeric powder, ginger paste, green chilli paste and salt and mix well till no lumps remaining.
3.
Transfer the mixture in to non stick pan and cook the mixture on slow flame till it becomes thick while continuously stirring.
4.
Switch off the flame when it’s done. (For check, Take little mixture and spread on greased thali and check whether its roll up or not. If it’s not roll then cook for some more time)
5.
Take some portion of mixture and quickly spread mixture on greased thali to a thin uniform layer.
6.
Wait for some time to cool down. When it’s cool cut in to equal 2 inch strips and rolls them gently.
7.
Heat remaining oil in the pan and add mustard seeds.
8.
When seeds crackle, add sesame seeds, asafoetida and mix well. Pour over khandvis.
9.
Garnish with scraped coconut and coriander leaves and serve.
