Steps |

Mix the Parboiled rice and raw rice in a bowl. Wash them and soak it for 3 hour. |

In another bowl mix black gram and fenugreek seeds and soak them for 3 hours. |

Drain the rice and blend it with 1 cup water to a coarse mixture. Remove the mixture in a deep bowl. |

Drain black gram and grind it with 1/2 cup water to a smooth and spongy batter. Add this mixture in a rice mixture. |

Add salt and mix the mixture well. Batter should be dropping consistency (add water if needed). |

Cover the bowl with the lid and keep in a warm place for 10 to 12 hours to ferment. |

Put steamer on Stove with sufficient water. And grease the idli mould with oil. |

Mix the batter well and Pour in a greased idli mould and Steam it for 10 minutes in the steamer or till they are done. |
9. |
Remove and serve hot with sambhar and coconut chutney. |
