1 cup basmati rice, soaked

1 tbsp garlic, chopped
3.
1 large onion, cut in to 1 inch piece

1 green chili, chopped
5.
1/4 cup shelled green peas, boiled (optional)
6.
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
7.
1 bay leaf
8.
1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
9.
3 tbsp oil
10.
1/4 tbsp lemon juice
11.
Fresh green Coriander leaves, chopped

In pan cook rice with 2 cup water, salt, lemon juice and bay leaf.

Heat oil in a pan; add cumin seeds. When seeds crackle add garlic and sauté for half minute.
3.
Add onion, green chili and cook till onion becomes soft and translucence. Add green peas, turmeric powder, and salt and mix well.
4.
Add boiled rice and mix well. Cook for 2 minute.
5.
Add the coriander leaves, roasted cashew nut and serve hot.
