1. | 1 cup chickpeas (soaked overnight) |
2. | 1/2 cup onion, chopped |
3. | 3 tbsp. Parsley, chopped |
4. | 1 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped |
5. | 1 tbsp. cumin powder |
6. | 1/2 tbsp. garlic, chopped |
7. | 1/4 tbsp. baking soda |
8. | 1/2 tbsp. red chili powder |
9. | 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice |
10. | Oil for deep fry |
11. | Salt as per taste |
Steps of Falafel Recipe

1. | Wash the overnight soaked chickpeas and drain it. |
2. | Mix chickpeas, onion, garlic, cumin powder, parsley, coriander leaves, red chili powder and salt in a blender jar and blend to a coarse paste without water. |
3. | Transfer the mixture into a bowl and add baking soda and lemon juice in it and mix well. |
4. | Make a walnut size round ball from the mixture and keep aside. |
5. | Heat the sufficient oil in a deep pan and deep fry the falafel ball until golden brown. |
6. | Serve with Tahini sauce. |
