Ingredients for Ragda Patties Recipe

Ingredients
For Patties:
5 large potatoes, Boiled
1/2 tbsp ginger paste
1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp chaat masala
1/2 tbsp green chili paste
1 cup bread crumbs
Salt as per taste
Oil for shallow fry
For Ragda:
1 cup white chickpeas (kabuli chana), soaked overnight
1/2 cup dried white peas (Safed vatana), soaked over night
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 medium onion, Chopped
1 medium tomato, chopped
2 green chilli, chopped
1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tbsp red chili powder
1/2 tbsp coriander- cumin powder
1/2 tbsp garam masala
Salt to taste

Steps of Ragda Patties Recipe

# Steps
1. Drain the soaked white peas and chick peas and place them in a pressure cooker with four cup water, turmeric powder and pinch of salt.
2. Pressure cooks it for six to eight whistles or till they are completely cooked and soft.
3. In a deep pan heat oil and add onion and ginger- garlic paste and cook till onion becomes soft and translucent.
4. Add green chili, coriander-cumin powder, red chili powder, gram masala, salt and sauté for a minute.
5. Add tomato and Sauté it for four to five minutes.
6. Add boiled chick peas and peas with the liquour and mix well. Add one cup water (Add more water if ragda is too thick) and cook for 10 minutes.
7. In a bowl mash the potatoes and add all the ingredient and mix well.
8. Divide into ten equal portion and give round shape and press little between hands and make it slightly flat.
9. Heat the oil in a frying pan. And shallow fry patties till brown color both the side on medium flame.
10. To serve, place two patties on a deep plate. Pour ragda over it. Sprinkle date-tamarind chutney and green chutney over it.
11. Place onion, Sev and green coriander over it and serve hot.
