Let me start with how this happened. How we travelled to Delhi unplanned at less cost?

One day, my friend came to me and said, “there is an offer on a flight ticket, and we need to buy for any place”. We booked for Delhi return ticket just in 2600 INR from Ahmedabad. Great deal. The unplanned journey started from this day.

Before Travel, we searched “places to visit in Delhi”, “Delhi travel help”, “Delhi Metro roots” and “Delhi tourism places”. But nothing was confirmed.

And the day comes to fly, and we had a flight at 6 AM. We called a taxi to reach the airport. My friend and I downloaded some apps and got four free rides in a cab. So we arrived at the airport for free!!

Stuff I took with me. No, am not rich 😉

We flew to Delhi and reached Delhi in 2 hours at 8 AM. Ok now? What to do? Where to go?

At the airport, we started surfing, using the Delhi airport’s free internet to find a hotel. My friend got a good deal for a 5-star hotel. We booked a room at 6000 INR for two days, which was at 50% off!

We called a taxi and reached the hotel for free. The hotel was awesome. We don’t want to go out of the hotel for the first day.

First Day: Delhi Tourism

So the First day, we had rest at the hotel, visited the local areas and surfed places to visit in Delhi. We downloaded Delhi travel guide pdf and list out Delhi travel places to visit in the next four days.

Here is our list of Delhi travel Places

Cyber City, Gurgaon, Haryana
Akshardham
Capital (India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament)

We also tried to find some restaurant because five start food was costlier. In Delhi, you won’t find the restaurant easily. People love to eat street food. Street food in Delhi is also delicious. You can easily find street food there.

Second Day: Delhi Tourism

We travelled to Cybercity via Delhi metro. Metro is the best way to go to Delhi. I love Delhi more than Mumbai because of Metro and cleanness.

At Gurgaon cyber city, we saw the most prominent mall. The city is part of Haryana and surrounded by a metro track. Excellent place with tall building and colourful metro wagons.

Third day @ Delhi

We took our luggage and went to find a cheap hotel in Paharganj area via Delhi metro. Here, we found many hotels at a reasonable rate. So we booked one for 2000 INR for two days. It was quite a beautiful place, and there were lots of foreign tourists staying.

After, we travelled to Akshardham. Big, beautiful and impressive temple till now I have seen. Must add this place in your Delhi travel places list.

We enjoyed the different shows at Akshardham. They were good. The place gives us spiritual feeling and peace in mind.

Forth day @ Delhi

Rashtrapati Bhavan
Parliament
Red Fort
Chandni Chawk

These are also other places to visit. If you like heritage, then you have to visit the red fort and Rashtrapati Bhavan from inside. You need to take permission online to visit Rashtrapati Bhavan.

We enjoyed Lassi and Cholle at Chandni Chowk’s street. We did some shopping from there. Delhi’s street shopping is the cheapest place in India. So you can buy much stuff from there.

Last Day, Delhi Tourism

In the morning, we went shopping again. Then we had a flight in the evening. We called a free taxi and reached the airport.

At 8 PM, we reached back to Ahmedabad. Called a free taxi again and entered our sweet home.

It was a fantastic unplanned journey of mine with my friend. You must plan something like this beautiful tour. It’s a memory for a lifetime to do something unforeseen. We both sometimes laugh when we recall this trip.
