Yeah, yeah I know how you would be confused which movie to watch, am I right? So why worry then? I am here to tell you about a few top Bollywood movies that you must watch before dying.
Sholay
Do you remember Sholay released in 1975? And that Basanti’s (Hema Malini) dialogue, “Yunki, yeh kaun bola?” I know none of you can ever forget this awesome movie depicting the true friendship of Jai (Amitabh Bachan) and Veeru (Dharmendra). And also people liked the acting of Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan) so much that the upcoming actors were more interested in becoming a villain rather than a hero. I must say, it was a super duper hit that touched the heights of success in Indian cinema to the extent that even now you can find its dialogues on peoples’ tongue.
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ)
Do you know in which film the dialogue, “Aise bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain” was used? If not, then I bet you have not seen the movie also. Anyways let me tell you that DDLJ is a typical boy-girl love story where the boy comes and takes the girl only with the consent of the girl’s parents. Moreover, it gave a new superstar to the Indian cinema called Shah Rukh Khan. This film broke all the records at the box office and became one of the successful movies after Sholay. So, don’t you forget to include this film on your watch list!
Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!
People who love to watch non-violent and family movies, this is the best. Though the story is not so special, the music, screenplay and the way the entire story is portrayed is just superb. The film goes so smoothly that you don’t like to get away from there even for going to the washroom. Also, the chemistry among all the cast is so natural that you willingly fall in love with this movie.
Mr. India
If you are fond of fantasy and superhero movies and you have not seen Mr. India then please do watch immediately. The story mostly revolves around Anil Kapoor acting as Mr. India who gets the power of being invisible from his father’s invisibility device and saves the country from Mogambo, the villain. How can you miss this complete package of fighting, comedy, emotions, and entertainment before going to your death bed?
Munna Bhai M.B.B.S
Are you depressed and you need some positivity in your life? Then, dude, this film is the perfect one. This movie not only gives hope to the sad people but also gives full on entertainment. This is one of my favorite films and I can’t just resist viewing whenever it comes on TV. I especially wait for the dialogue “Aey mamu. jadoo ki jhappi de daal aur baat khatam” to come.
3 Idiots
No doubt, this has to be in your watch list without fail. This film not only makes you laugh but also learn many golden rules that can change your life completely. It also makes you feel nostalgic about your hostel life. It gives you a message that whatever problems you have in life, just say to yourself “Aal Izz Well’. This mantra will not solve your problem but will definitely give you the strength to face it.
Barfi!
Have you seen Barfi film? If not then do watch it at least for ones. This super hit film depicted that love can neither be defined nor contained. The acting of Ranveer Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra is just outstanding to the extent that their characters look very much real.
Kahaani
Can you ever imagine a pregnant woman traveling from one part of the world to the other and roaming around in search of her husband and that too during her 6th or 7th month? No one? But Vidya Balan played this difficult role and portrayed that there can be no pauses for a pregnant woman. Full of suspense the story holds you back till the end and leaves you with a stunning shock when the suspense that Vidya was just acting to be pregnant is revealed.
Purab Aur Paschim
I bet hardly anyone might remember the 1970s Purab Aur Paschim movie. The film that depicts the story of a proud Indian boy who unlike other people goes abroad for further studies but never forgets or leaves his Indian culture. Here in this film, you get to see the patriotism of Manoj Kumar towards his country. It also gives a message that though wherever you are; one should never forget his own culture.
So, make your watch list? What are you waiting for then? Go on and watch all the movies that you must see at least for ones before going to your grave. Also, to read similar articles do keep coming back.
